[RP] Travel Adventures of Lynna and Arthur

They discussed a little more about what they would do before coming to a final decision to leave for home for a few days.

They stayed in bed a little longer before Lynna thought she should make a move, she caressed her husbands cheek softly her lips lingering on his before she reluctantly moved to get out of bed. As she got up she turned to him as he laid there moving his hands behind his head closing his eyes again.

Oh no you don't! she giggled and ripped the covers off moving away from the bed before he had a chance to grab them back Too slow she said You need to work on those reflexes Love

She was trying not to giggle as she was sure he was trying really hard to ignore her.

I have heard of rumors of the county closing all travel into and out of Chester.. and as much as I would love to spend the day in bed with you.. we will have plenty of time to do that later when we are not in any immediate danger. His arms wrapped around her stomach.

He was sounding more concerned now as he told her of another rumour he had heard, You're right Love she said as the smile went from her mouth thinking about the danger they could be in. She turned around facing him wrapping her arms around his neck kissing him softly. She smiled at him lovingly again and said I'll get our things together.

He knew how bad it had been last time, and was not prepared to put Lynna through a similar ordeal.

He kept his eye on Lynna as she walked down the street, and saw her turn a corner. He didn't know how far the Inn was but she had assured him it was close by.

She grabbed her cloak on leaving putting it around her shoulders, she walked past the towns folk seeing their concerns embedded on their faces, as they closed up shops in fear of trouble. She reached Hooters asking the bar keep if she could be told where to find Rothar, she was pointed to the room.

She knocked on the door waiting for a response...

Then he remembers he wrote her a letter expressing that he had fallen on hard times,
but had asked for a sizeable loan. Now you are here?

I do ask a favour though, can we call in at Lucy's cottage I want to say goodbye to my love.
I'll just let her know that I'm travelling and I'll be back in time for the local elections.

Once he did that, he could risk his life to defend Chester if his superiors tasked him with that duty. He was not prepared to involve himself in a situation with his wife and friends.

Gossip could be heard in the streets by the craftsman who had finished boarding up their shops. There are two WoS armies forming! The Guards at the town hall are arming any able man and young lass in defense. The women and small children are being secured in the town hall. Chester County is doomed! His ears perked; surprised at how the "loyal" citizens of Chester were speaking. He walked over to the pair, You ladies should be heading towards the town hall. Grab as much as you can carry and head out now. He ordered a few militia to escort the ladies to the town hall. The women grabbed a few sacks full of food and walked through the square chatting casually. He shook his head and realized that some people are doomed by their ignorance.

Of course we can she smiled, I know I wouldn't want Arthur taking off on me with no warning she laughed. Just Let Arthur know how to get there.

As they left the Inn Lynna saw Arthur speaking to some citizens out the front, There he is she said to Rothar. They walked over to the cart and Lynna said you can just pop your swag in the back there and sit up front with us, there is plenty of room on the seat instead of being on top of these goods in the back she laughed as they came back to the front of the cart. Love, this is my friend Rothar all the way from Scotland but he has found love here in Beeston so has been here a while.

We need to get going. Hun, I made some space in the wagon for you to sit just behind us. I don't want you in plain sight in case we get attacked on the roads.. Brigands are less likely to attack men in daylight. He helped Lynna get into the covered wagon. All the goods were packed tight to avoid moving while traveling back to Coventry.

He saw some men running towards the west wall of the city. There was a fight that broke out, and needed to be contained. Arthur looked towards the scrimmage and then back to Rothar. We need to get out of the city and fast. Do you know the safest way out?

Roth hops up in the cart with Arthur and Lynna. He see's a good opening up ahead.

Okay everyone hold on tight, he points ahead see the street adjacent to the Beeston
Townhall, go up that street and head as far along it as you can. Lucy's cottage is
directly ahead, a ways off. Its along the Stafford Road, in the direction we need to go.

I believe it will be the safest and quickest route outside Beeston.

He headed towards the town hall of Beeston, then made a turn on the street Rothar had directed him towards. The road was paved so the travel was quicker than usual. Homes lined the streets and could be seen with planks of wood boarded up. Windows were covered with furniture from the inside to keep out brigands and the brave pickpockets from rummaging through abandoned homes.

They arrived at a small cottage towards the end of the street. Arthur stayed in his seat with the reins ready as Rothar was going to say goodbye to Lucy. He must be courting her, he thought. He wasn't aware of the relationship of Lucy and Rothar but he would be able to determine that once they greeted each other. He knew her name.. Lucy_Lawless.. it looked familiar. Oh yes! I know.. she is running for mayoral seat in Beeston. Wow, she will have troubled times ahead. Hopefully not too bad, he thought.

Lady Lynna, was so kind to give me a loan but I must travel into the hometown of Coventry, I'll be away for a couple of days.

He's eyes meet into her's as the warm sun shines...and gazes at his lass, squeezes her tightly kisses her on the lips.
Come we don't have much time, their is civil unrest in Beeston my love. As soon as we depart, you need to go next door and get an escort travel to Beeston Townhall, see if they need your help their situation looks grim.

Lucy gazes into Rothar's eyes lovingly & returns his kiss. "Ok I will head to the town hall as soon as you guys leave. Can you introduce me to your friends real quick before you leave?" Lucy takes Rothar's hand & walks with him out to the wagon.

Greetings Lucy she smiled, Lovely to meet you also, we will try to keep him out of trouble, I am sure we will be safe on the journey home and your Roth will high tail it back to you in a hurry to make sure you are safe here. She grinned at Lucy as for tavern trouble we won't be stopping at one for the first night so there shouldn't be any problem there she laughed.

Lynnas smile faded somewhat when she added, You stay safe here though, I hope the trouble doesn't come to Beeston, they seem to be preparing for the worst, and very good luck with your election.

He looked down the road, then back to Lucy. Rothar will be back in a few days, I'm sure. And as Lynna said: we'll keep an eye on him. He heard some shouting in the distance behind the cart and looked towards Rothar. We need to get going. And Lucy, you should get to the town hall as quick as possible.
