[RP] Travel Adventures of Lynna and Arthur

They were going to go on a journey to spread their knowledge and advance in those to complete their studies. He had recently become a student at the University, while Lynna had been a student for a while. She had acquired tuition monies quicker but had less time than he to study due to their duties to the Stafford Guard. They were headed towards Chester to enjoy some fishing as well as take some concentrated workshops in military and state before heading South for a tour of the country.

She turned back to the bed and looked at the assortment of clothes she had out for both of them with Irma's help, as the weather would warm a little while they were away. Packing the chests was easy enough though, as they intended to relax and just enjoy each other with nothing to attend to in an official capacity, so maybe just a suitable outfit each just incase she thought.

All set to go Oswald saw to it that the chests were taken down, she met Arthur in the foyer beaming Ready when you are my love as she draped her arms around his neck giving him a lingering kiss. Outside Arthur had helped her up to the seat and given Oswald last minute instructions for the estate in our absence.

As Arthur took up the reins himself this trip, she slid along the seat close to his side tucking her arm in his they smiled and kissed and with a slap of the reins they were on their way...



They did plan to stay a little longer in Lichfield but opted to keep going onto Stafford as Arthur had organised some business while they were there and they could stay in their apartment.

Lynna was thinking now that they were married there really was no need for them to have two apartments, as the arrived in the Capitol making there way throught the streets. Love I was thinking about the apartments, I was wondering do you think we should keep both and have one available to friends and family to stay in or maybe we could make arrangements to move into two side by side and have it made into one large apartment? she grinned. She wasn't overly concerned about what decision would be made with the apartments, they might as well orgnise something while they are here she had also been informed that there were some problems that might need taking care of.

Time passed.

After his business had been concluded at the market, they hitched up the wagon to continue their trip. He wasn't sure which direction to go, south.. north... west? Too many options. He led down the road to which he thought would be the way to their next destination.

They made their way to Beeston with a stop at the University first, before finding a place to stay, to see if Arthur could attend some classes here in Chester. They had seen Ladyjennet and Mac there who gaciously said they would be happy to have them here....

What a boring town, Arthur thought as he laid in bed early in the morning at the local inn. He was usually an early riser when there was exciting areas to discover, or new people to meet.. but this town was different. Arthur and Lynna had wandered through the town quickly in a peaceful manner. The only excitement he had noticed was a weaver shoppe being busy with many patrons and yet an overstock of clothing on the market.. perhaps the townsfolk enjoyed visiting instead of purchasing luxury items? Arthur wasn't sure, but he knew this wasn't the town for them to stay in much longer.

He turned on his side, sliding closer to his wife and kissed her shoulder gently. He didn't want to wake her. She looks so peaceful, he thought. Trailing his finger down along her arm, he listened to her moan softly at his touch while still asleep. He chuckled quietly to himself, amused, loving the way he could make her feel even in her sleeping state.

Are we going to Chester Love? pouting a little as she was very comfortable with where they were right now, instead of being on the road again already.

Chester can wait till we are ready to go. He pressed his lips against hers once more, a surge of passion flowing through his veins. He slid on top of her, his eyes closed while his arms held him up over her body. He brushed his lips against hers, barely grazing to whisper sweet nothings that would make her blush.

Running her hands along his arms as he held his weight above her, admiring the definition they showed, she smiled lowering her eyes before shifting her gaze back to his.

His lips temptingly close to hers she moved a hand to the back of his neck and urged him close to her kissing him again she murmured softly with a little chuckle Then there is no hurry is there Love ...

Later that morning they had a meal in the inn before finalising payment then making their way to Chester. Arthur was pleased to have been able to attend a few classes while in Beeston and was off to a good start with his lessons.

He could hear the echo of the horse's hooves on the cobbled street. At least the street is maintained.. must be all the taxes that the residents pay. He felt Lynna slide closer to him, and underneath his arm, she was cold. He wrapped his arm around her, while still holding the reins to their horse.

We're almost there, sweetheart. He kissed her forehead, as she laid her head on his shoulder. It had been a long trip and he could tell she was tired. They had gotten a late start from Beeston due to their overwhelming passion for each other. It was something that had the power to bring a smile to his face, even if it meant exhaustion was beginning to sit in.

As they rounded a corner she could see what appeared to be the Hostel a few doors down, from the outside it appeared a decent establishment hoping the rooms were comfortable.

He heard her question and nodded. I think so. There isn't much to do here, and the quietness is not a good thing. Wolves are about, they are one day's ride to the southwest. If they saw the state of this town, it may call their attention. And I don't want us caught in the middle. We are supposed to be enjoying our honeymoon..

They rounded the corner, and the lights of the Hostel were bright. He got down from the cart, and helped Lynna down. There was a stable nearby, and he walked them over. He unhitched his cart, allowing the horses to rest. The stable boy offered to care for the horses until they were ready to continue their travels. He agreed and secured the belongings on the cart. If anything is missing.... he warned, before Lynna cleared her throat to distract him. He gave the boy a look, knowing he would have been intimidated. Arthur turned around and walked with Lynna back to the front door of the Hostel.

You aren't supposed to scare them, Love! She giggled as she placed her arm through his.

Well.. if it will keep our goods safe, then it is something I must do. He replied with a serious tone.

She kissed him to get out of his serious demeanor. He was always serious when he spoke of his military history and knowledge. He didn't take the Wolves as a joke, and didn't want her to either. They could be very dangerous, and he wasn't prepared to lose her. They walked inside and acquired a room for the evening.

They were infront of the Hostel when he helped her down, walking the short way to the stable as he gave his instructions to the stable boy. Reaching into the back of the cart taking the few things they needed for overnight she held onto them as he secured the rest of the contents.
Holding onto his arm again as they walked back to the entrance of the Hostel, Arthur organised a room.

They were led by a woman up to a room, as she walked in ahead of them she lit the candles mentioning there was fresh water in the jug on the dresser before leaving them, closing the door behind her.

Placing one of the bags on the bed just as Arthur had done the same. I think i'll just freshen up a little my Love as she headed to the dresser she poured a little water into the bowl, thinking at least the roads were damp and not as dusty during the cooler weather.

Without looking she could feel her husbands eyes watching her as he mentioned that they should be in Holywell tomorrow and that he would like to spend some time fishing inbetween his studies. She glanced over her shoulder to see him turning away, turning back again she smiled inwardly saying, I think you will need to teach me to fish Love, I had never been very good at catching fish. Slipping a light gown on she joined him at the table, brushing her hand over his as she passed.

A smaller bag, that Arthur had bought to the table, contained some fresh fruit, dried meat and bread which they consumed a little of, she took an apple cutting it into quarters, leaning over the small table they shared she held a piece to his lips, it's sweet juice glistening in the candlelight, just as he was about to take a bite, she pulled it away and took a bite herself, looking away innocently with a smile on her face.

The woman led them upstairs to their room. After opening the door, she had entered and immediately lit some candles. He wasn't really paying attention, but knew she was speaking. He went into preparing some food for them as soon as the door had shut. He heard Lynna speak, and turned his attention towards her:

He was watching her move about.. quietly, he didn't want her to notice. He tried to make small talk while watching her. We'll be heading to Holywell tomorrow.. His mouth dropped open slightly watching her undress and change into a light gown. The sheerness of her gown allowed for her curves to be perfectly accented in the candle light. He shut his eyes, took a deep breath before clearing his throat to continue talking about something neutral: fishing in Holywell. Yea.. that will keep my mind off her, he thought.

His mind wandered. Fish.. ocean... Lynna.. gown... water.. He shook his head, blinking more than usual and staring at Lynna. Most definitely, Hun.. I will teach you.. He watched her join him at the table. He couldn't really focus on anything, and proceeded to prepare some food for them to consume. He took a deep breath, and focused on Lynna cutting some apples he had picked from the orchards of Coventry and brought on his trip. As she had finished quartering the apples, she offered him a bite. He leaned forward and just as he was about to taste the succulent, delicious apple.... she retracted her arm and took a bite herself. He pouted, looking at her. She had enticed him.. teased him... and left him wanting. Such a tease, he thought. But he secretly loved it, and her.

Lynna wrote: She noticed Arthur pouting from the corner of her eye, a slight tinge of guilt for teasing him like that she turned to him and said The apple is scrumptious Love would you care for some? A little laugh as she stood up from her chair picking up another piece of the apple she went over to him placing one hand lightly around his shoulder she slid onto his lap this time offering it to him so he could enjoy it's sweetness as well.

So onto Holywell tomorrow for us then? She smiled as he reluctently stopped pouting long enough to laugh with her. We are stopping there for a while aren't we though? Hoping they are so they get time to rest and enjoy their time together.

He lifted her up in his arms, remembering back to his wedding day how he could just not put her down! He laughed at the memory and brought her to sit on the bed. He scrambled through his bag to pull out his surprise. Holding it behind his back, he asked Lynna to choose a hand.

Right? She questioned him. Be sure! He said. She giggled and looked back and forth, trying to decide. Left, no.. right. Yes, right.

He pulled out the left hand first instead. This was the *correct* choice! He laughed and handed her a small box. Within it, there was a trinket case:



He knew her favorite color was blue.. it was his too. He'd seen some sapphire trinket in Stafford market, and thought this would be a perfect gift for her. After showing her the trinket casing, he knew that she would be curious as to why he didn't display the contents of his right hand. He interrupted her joy over the trinket case to tell her of his love for her.

You are my confidant. My love. My wife. I trust you completely and know that your faith and support will never waiver. As long as we stand together, I know we can overcome anything. You've helped me grieve when my sister and brother both passed away. You've helped me accept my brother, Donnor.

He came closer to her and sat next to her on the bed. He cupped her cheek, bringing his lips close to hers.

You are always willing to be there for me. In good times and in bad, and I know that I can be very trying at times with my stubbornness. But, I want you to know I care about you, and love you.. forever, and always.

He kissed her deeply and with passion. She always made him feel this way.

And I can't wait until we have children. So that, at her wedding, she can borrow her mother's jewelry as a reminder that true love can happen.

He pulled out a sapphire and diamond bracelet that he had ordered custom, just for his wife.

They weren't courting anymore and she didn't know if he would think it silly if she gave him a gift of love. Her love was so strong for him she needed to show him in every way, even as a token, how she felt about him and would take any opportunity to do so.

Ooooooo! She gasped as he swept her up in his arms as he stood, she held on as he carried her over to the bed sitting her on the edge. She watched him eagerly as he searched through his bag before coming back hiding his hands asking her to choose. She was giggling as she kept changing her mind not knowing which hand to choose. In the end he didn't reveal the one she chose and declared it was the left hand which held her surprise.

He passed her the box he held out and as she opened it she was saying how lovely it was as she studied it and opened and closed it. I'ts beautiful Love, she had a few things in mind that she could put in there already so they wouldn't be loose on the dresser at home. He started to speak again as she had looked back down at the gift, he immediately caught her attention as his voice was intent as he said her name ...

She swallowed hard trying to contain her emotion as he leant in kissing her passionately, she felt the desire she shared in his kiss. He mentioned children again, she smiled lovingly at him as she had been thinking of children more and more these past few days. He bought his right hand around she saw something flash in the candlelight as he presented her with a diamond and sapphire bracelet.

She was speechless, she loved her trinket case and never imagined there being something else, she bit her lip as a tear came to her eye as she turned to him she wrapped her arms around his neck holding onto the bracelet kissing him again before her voice was heard near his ear. It's stunning my Love, I don't know what to say, I love you so much. She bought her hands around to her lap as she tried to put the bracelet on he took it from her placing it over hand to sit on her wrist. She took a deep breath moving it around on her wrist while she composed herself before wrapping her arms around his neck again. She bought her face close to his and looked into his eyes grinning she said Arthur, my Love with a little giggle she placed a hand over his eyes , I have something for you also close your eyes and i'll get it....

She slipped her hand into the pocket of her bag and pulled out the gift, she held it in her hand , hoping he would like it. She found it hard to purchase a gift that she thought he might have with him constantly, she wanted to be near him even when they were apart. She bought it up to her lips and kissed it before going back to the bed. His eyes still closed she leaned forward and kissed his eyelids, Keep them closed she said as she slipped it over his head and tucked it into his shirt. She felt the warmth of his skin as she pressed it against his heart, taking her hand out she patted it on the outside Now your can open them she smiled. A little embaressed as her gift wasn't as elaborate as his but it held as much love.

As he felt for the chain he grinned, she placed a hand on his chest before he could bring it out, and said. My Love, I know you may not fancy wearing a chain around your neck, no one will see it if you keep it tucked away under your clothes, she was hoping he wouldn't mind.

She kept her hand in place as she looked into his eyes, I love you Arthur, it took a silly auction for me to realise that what I felt for you wasn't just the love of a friend it went much deeper than that, the auction was for a good cause and with your Auntie wanting to name it after my dear brother as a memorial, my family would have given the money, and more, to have it built. What did bring me there was if I hadn't I would have lost you and your love to someone else, and I wanted to have a chance of the happiness I craved with you and only with you. If you hadn't felt the same way I gave you the opportunity to step away and I would have done that for you. I never wanted you to stay with me if you didn't love me the way a husband loves his wife.

You are my life now, and my love will always be with you, I cherish and adore you, we are strong, we will face any obstacle together if one crosses our path. I love you my Husband.


She leant in and kissed his lips, as they parted he bought out the locket and studied it, she smiled at him and said, It opens Love, she moved in a little closer and took it in her hands from his, as she opened it, it revealed a little compartment enclosed in crystal so its contents could be seen, I had it made up before we left Love, it's a whisp of my hair beneath that glass, see it there, she pointed it out to him , If you wear it close to your heart I will always be with you even if we are apart. She looked up at him and smiled a little awkwardly wondering what he was thinking...

He heard her rationalization and cupped her cheek. I always carry you with me baby.. with this chain or not. You are in my heart, my mind. You're part of my soul, he told her. He loved the gift and told her so. This was the first gift, he had ever been given from her and it was something he would cherish forever.

He pulled her down onto the bed, kissing her passionately... He needed to be with his wife. His desire for her was completely overwhelming and he could no longer control it.

Arriving in Holywell, Arthur immediately set out to make plans to stay in a small cottage by the sea. He wanted to relax and enjoy the fresh air with his wife. It had been so long since he has taken time to vacation in the ocean.

After setting up their accommodations, he was hungry and figured that Lynna was as well. Hun, you hungry? Let's go to the tavern by the ocean. They may be serving some food.

He saw her organizing their things, and sighed. He sat down on a chair, waiting for her, Why do women always have to change?, he murmured. Lynna had asked him what he said, and all he replied with was a smile, Nothing, Hun.

She giggled at his pouting I heard tavern are you hungry ? she ran a fingertip over his lips while she waited for him to say again.

He started to get up, when she got off his lap pouting. He kissed her lovingly. Come on, sweetheart. Let's go to the tavern for supper. Maybe we can take a walk along the beach, later. He was looking forward to their plans. He took her hand in his, lacing their fingers together and led her out of the cottage.

Playfully pouting to mimic his as she feigned the bite hurting, he kissed her mentioning a walk on the beach later as well. As their fingers entwined she grabbed her shawl from the back of the chair as they left the cottage to make their way there. Oh! I would love a walk on the beach, it's been so long since being able to do that. Excited at the thought she squeezed his hand it is going to be a wonderful evening. I hope the food is good Love I am hungry as well

I don't know what I want to eat now, Hun. He pouted, and hoped she would have a craving for a particular dish that he would be willing to try as well. What do you want to eat?

Money was no issue. He had plenty since he had sold some goods while traveling.

I can't say I have seen anything that is tempting me either Love. If you really want fish tonight Baby, maybe we can find a fishmonger and cook it ourself, she didn't really feel like having to cook on their first night there, or we can go back there motioning to the last tavern they went by and have a hearty steak and eggs tonight and you can take me fishing tomorrow she giggled at the thought of fishing and how she would go with that.
