Arthur was puzzled. Something must have happened at the stairs, he thought. Excuse me for a minute everyone. He kissed his wife on the cheek before whispering in her ear, I'll be back soon, my love.

--Teezme_Moore wrote:Teezme looks back again. Arthur following? Please Jah, make him follow. Look down, skin still there. Hurry, hurry. Oompf...oh no, forgot to look. Hit Lady Tasite. Its ok, pushed her into a man...oh my, it was the man Missy was drooling over. Pause, glance at man. Look back. Is Lord Loxley there? Will be in trouble later. Don't get fired. Fired, skin. Skin, fired. Skin on fire? No, flayed skin. Blood, skin. Ewww, stop thinking. Hurry and keep skin. Oh Jah, Lady Aasha's going to be angry. Hurry.

He followed behind her. She was rather impatient and he didn't understand her hurry. He would be sure to correct her behavior later.

Radh wrote:Radh bends his eyes downward as he bows to Brianna, hardly has he looked up again when he notices fast and sudden movement in the corner of his eye, someone comes rushing in. Immidiatly adrenaline starts pumping through Radh's body, his senses sharpen and his mind races as his body prepares him to go into full battle-mode. But there isnt enough time to act. Radh holds his breath, an oompf as blond hair crashes into red hair, stand, action equals reaction followed by a WHAT THE ...., brace, the lady next to Brianna is launched head-first straight at him, patts, catch!! Ohw too late, stretching out his arms to catch her, she arms flinging outward litterally falls into his arms, but not before she lands herself against the heardened leather of his body armor. Hence the little "patts" ye heared. All that's left for Radh to do is keep his arms up to wich the ruffled but still lovely looking young lass is clinging, he stands frozen, his muscles tense, ready to fight. If not for his hyper alerted state of mind Radh would've surely enjoyed the press of the female form against his chest, her tender arms lying in his, the light touch of her hands on his arms and her gentle squeeze as she clings on with one hand. Instinctively Radh moves his freed arm behind his back to reach for a weapon, but they arent there, he had put them in his bag before entering the room. While at the same time, Radh had identified the source of the sudden threath, Teezme. He looks at her, she looks at him but keeps glancing over her shoulder very anxiously. Then she rushes to and out the door and is followed by a man hurrying after her. Radh doesnt recognise the man, but he clearly looks to be part of the host family so Radh decides he doesnt need to persuit Teezme aswell. He looks around, scanning for other threaths, he sees people look up and startle but no new dangers comeing at him or the lady. He checks to his side, Aayla is safe too, the lady looks unhurt too, but now Radh becomes frustrated with himself; He should never had left his guard down, how could he expect to escort his sister safely to and fro this party if he lets his guard down to greet the pretty lasses. Maybe he should be thankfull for this incident, or accident as it turns out to be.

Radh then recognises lady Tasite as she looks up to him.
Tasite wrote:Oh my... I'm so very sorry; she said. Her face turned red as she tried to stand.
Looking back at her he finds himself gazing into her eyes and unto her face, she blushes but Radh thinks her cheek looks also somewhat red from landing on the though leather. He helps her to her feet, gently puts his fingers to her sore cheek and asks, Are ye a'right, m'lass?

Tas placed her hand on his chest to see if she caused him in injuries. I truly sorry for being so clumsy. I hope I didn’t hurt in you in any way?

Then she heard Aayla ask "Are you alright?" I think so…. Just a bit clumsy. It’s your brother I worried about… I hope I didn’t hurt him in any way. It was after she answered Aayla that she remembered her hand. Her face matching her hair, she dropped it to her side, still concerned but embarrassed. Tas hoped he didn't think her too forward.

Sitting in a huff beside him, she glanced down when she heard a giggle, catching the servants eye. Go gets Lord Tudor, tells 'im he's needed inna stairs. An' dun be bringin' the whole damn room wit' ya, o' I'll be takin' it outta yer 'ide.

As he felt her hands on his head, he grinned inwardly. He didn't want to tip her off that he was enjoying her touch. He moved his hand to cover hers on the back of his head and he moved it to a different area of the bump. That hurt! He exclaimed. Touch here.. it's not as painful. Am I bleeding? He brought his hand back in front of him, opening his eyes briefly to be able to tell. When he saw no blood, he was glad he didn't really break his head. She finally sat down next to him and he contemplated fainting on top of her.. but she didn't like weak men, and doing so would not be in his favor. Who is this Lord Tudoar? Why did you call for him? Is he going to be touching my head too? His eyes opened wide as he became agitated and nervous at the same time. It still hurts! He can't touch my head.

(ooc: although some modern churches frown upon drinking and feasting and luxury - if you look at history including the time we RP - a significant amount of food and alcohol produced in those times was by monasteries and abbeys so the church/clergy accepted such things as norm back then - I think that the new level 4 now makes things much more true to history.)

Aasha wrote:The thought flashed briefly through Aasha's mind that being her friend was once again proving hazardous to someone's health. The girl snuffed that thought immediately. There was NO way anyone could possibly lay the blame for Axle's injuries at her feet, she sure didn't trip him, nor did she suggest falling would be faster than walking down stairs.

Seeing an odd look cross his face, Aasha exclaimed; If'n ya gets sick on me, yer 'ead won't be the only thin' hurtin'!

His rush of words surprised her, she couldn't recall him ever speaking so much at once before. Dunno if'n ya needs ta be movin' or nae. Lord Tudor is Donnor's broth'r...he'd knows what ya ken do. Rolling her eyes at his agitation, she reminded him quickly; ima touchin' yer 'ead an' ya isna dyin'...he ain't gonna be br'akin' ya worse. Damn maid ain't gots no sense...where is they anyhow?

She'd stopped worrying about why she'd been invited, being distracted by Axle's clumsiness allowed her own anxiety to abate. Dun tole ya...yer nae bleedin'...yets. Before she could finish that thought, the maid reappeared, sputtering nonsense about keeping skin and doors. Aasha shook her head, muttering; Damn fool maid. Ain't gots no brains 'tall. Hearing Arthur’s name did serve as a reminder of her own tension, the girl stiffened and waited for him to appear, suddenly wondering how her presence would be received.

Plotnik grinned when he saw Lynna walking over and caught Anyamariee's attention. But at the mention of the court case, he averted his eyes in shame at his failing, though still returned the hug with just as much enthusiasm as Lynna showed him, smiling again before he let go. "Cousin, allow me to introduce the person I've spoken to you so much about, this is Lady Anyamariee Hollington. Anyamariee, this is my cousin Lynna, who stole me away from you a few months ago, when she needed my time and attention. Head of House von Liechtenstein, and wife to My Lord Duke Loxley, of whom you've heard me speak so often. And mother to my little cousin, who.. was... around here somewhere, but I've yet to meet."

Lynna and Arthur were joining in the conversations when she took Anyamariee's hand in hers, It's a great pleasure indeed to finally meet you Lady Anyamariee, Cousin Plotnik has spoken so fondly of you to me and I am happy to finally get the chance to meet you. Silly court case she said knowing her cousin did a wonderful job in her hearing, she brushed her hand away as the matter was over and done with, a time consuming effort, not for the result we were hoping for, but an interesting experience all the same and one I was very much appreciative for with my cousins legal expertise she smiled warmly at her cousin assuring him he did all he could possibly do. Holding her husbands hand again as their fingers entwined William is around here somewhere, as her eyes scanned the room, he was swept away by his older cousins as soon as we walked in the door.

Deekay wrote:
"Please call me Deekay, Lynna. And can I introduce you to Helen. She has recently moved to Birmingham and keeps order in one of our taverns.

Helen - Lady Lynna, one of Stafford's worthiest citizens and I think the same understanding of time as you."

He reached for a wrapped gift

"Lynna, can I give you a bottle of my special fruit wine. This is damson, I think.
Excuse me - I think a little diplomacy may be required."

Deekay it is then she smiled and listened as he introduced his guest. Lovely to meet you Lady Helen, I hope you are enjoying the evening. As Dekay offered her a gift of fruit wine, oh this will be devine I am sure, thank you so much. Unfortunately I am not able to attend the chapel as often as I would like either Helen, she laughed softly as Helen told about teasing Deekay improving her mood, as does my Husbands presence do my mood good as well she smiled as she patted Arthurs arm as she held onto him.

As the group were chatting Myxti had pointed out Blanche holding Alexandre and Lynnas eyes brightened, I'll have to go have a hold before Blanche disappears with him to the nursery. As Myxti mentioned Donnor and the influence he could have on her son she laughed again, remembering the incident in the office a while back. I can understand that she said grinning at both Ken and Myxti.

Lynna listened on as the conversation turned to Salter and the familial ties to some of the guests, she wasn't going to comment but was interested all the same.

The estate nanny had come up to Arthur while they were talking and seemed to need him to go with her, he kissed her cheek softly saying he would be back soon, alright Love she said a little confused hurry back she turned back to the group as the food was being bought out. I'll sneak over and have a hold of the baby before Blanche goes upstairs and dinner is ready she grinned.

From beein able to distinguish each seperate sound in the room, to hearing every voiche at the same time in a flood of unitelligeble backgroundnoise. His vision looses focus, he visibly blurrs and blinks as he fights the dizziness and struggles to regain control over his senses. First he feels fingers, a touch so soft you would hardly feel but could not fail to notice. Tasite standing close before him and hears her say, just a little, but I‘m fine. He smiles at her and is happy she wasnt hurt by this irresponsble act of the nanny. At the same time he cant help but notice how he likes her wavy red hair as it hangs down wild and free, the way it accents her body as it hangs over her bare shoulders. I truly sorry for being so clumsy. I hope I didn’t hurt in you in any way? Now Radh was about to burst out in a roaring laughter but he doesnt, she has put her hand on his chest and he cant help but to smile at her, he follows her eyes while she speaks to Aayla. Then Tasite looks back to him and drops her hand in embarresment, Radh feels the warmth leave his skin where she had had her hand on him. He doesnt like she feels bad about something that wasnt her fault, so he says, Nay m'lady, it is I who wish to apologize fer such clumpsy catchin. Will ye allow meh t'mend ye hurt the ol' fashion way? He offers her, hoping what he has in mind wouldnt be considered inapropriate for a 'guest' or further reason for embarrasment, but he thinks it worth the shot for getting a smile.

Finding very little, apart from the usual guests mingling she hrmphs softly turning to look the other way, more people she didn't know and while all interesting some even catching her eye momentarily only serving to make her a touch self-oncious.

By the time her glance made it back to her brother and the beautiful lass with him she just catches the tale end of her brother's comment. ol'fashion way... what?!? Blinking she stares mouth slightly agape at the man.

She wanted so deeply not to cause in trouble but being a bit young she forgot to keep her hands to herself. Tas had always be respectful of others and kept her hands to herself unless needed so why had she been touching him in such a manner she wondered. Should she apologize again or would that be rude? She didn't know and she wasn't sure what to do when again her thoughts drifted back to the feel of his chest, the beat of his heart and the look in his eyes. So engrossed was she that she heard nothing much at first, until the sound of his voice came through clear as a bell in her ears. Nay m'lady, it is I who wish to apologize fer such clumpsy catchin. Radh wrote:He isnt sure what he's riskin by acting on this thought, he is in an noble House now and Radh has no idea how nobles expect eachother to act, but then he also believes he should never hesitate beein kind to someone if he feels like it. He adjust his cloak and folds his hood back again so it wont bother him as he leans forward. This next aproach he hadnt really thought through, but he was already doing it and done with it and he steps back to respectable distance and winks at Tasite.

He wonders what he'll get for his little michief; a smile, a blush, a slap in the face, maybe he and Aayla will need to leave urgently now? He decides not to wait and see, an try to brake the awkwardness of the situation while he can, for his hostess. He thinks she has been very kind, he just wants the pretty lass to smile, not to feel embaressed for beein so nice to him. He looks around himself and makes eyecontact with his sis, Irish, and Brianna as he takes his bag from his shoulder. With each bottleneck clamped between his fingers he takes out two bottles of 1443 brew, holding these up he says: Ai if meh bro could see meh now e'd laugh; Four o' the fairest lasses o' the party at 'is side and only two bottles o' Irish between 'em, bu' nea glass or cup to share. He grins. Bu' I'm sure m'ladies could 'elp meh find any then meh'd like te make a toast....(?)

Here is in detail what he just did, in case you missed it;
Having folded back his hood he leans towards Tasite, bringing one hand to level to the side of her face. He extends his fingers to swipe her hair away so he can whisper into her ear. With three fingers he strikes through her hair, pushing it back. The cold and silky sensation of running her hair through his fingers sends a tingling feeling over his back, he was starting to enjoy this. Pushing further he pulls away the hair brushing her neck and the front of her shoulder. Strings of dark red hair glide over soft pale skin as he folds them back by moveing his hand down and behind her shoulder. He waits for the tip of the last string to slip free of his fingers before he gently presses his outspread hand against her back. By a gently twist of his arm he makes her lean to him a bit too, till their face are side by side. He glances down from the hair behind her ear, down her neck and shoulder and to where he has his hand on her back and his arm wrapped around her. Hmmm, her scent from upclose is just so distracting, what was he about to do again? Kiss her in the neck? Radh smiles inwardly, that wasnt it, though he didnt think it a bad idea. Then he slightly tilts his head and softly says to Tasite: Dear Lady, ye ne'er augh 'to apologize fer things as aint yer fault; It will get ye into trouble and it just aint right besides. He moves his head slightly back to make brief eye-contact and glimpse at her reaction, then he softly speaks to her ear again: Bu' ye're tryin yer best ta make som'one who's travelled long and far, feel very welcome 'ere. An' that's mighty sweet of ye!... Now fer ye hurtin... Then Radh turns his head and kisses Tasite on her sore cheek, before taking his step back.

There is some blinking, the young woman’s shocked face growing ever more shocked by the second, more blinking her mouth falling agape and the air rushing from her slender form as if she’d been hit, some wheezing as her body complains from the lack of air, and finally as only the youngest Rahl could a dramatic “Gah!!!” both hands flying to her eyes she tries to rub the last moments out of her mind. Clearly unsuccessful a brief glance is given the bottles Radh supplies, and an even briefer thought given to risking it... before she clearly decides whatever's made her brother all romantical must have come from something he drank... better not risk it. She instead slips a very well hidden flask from the bodice of her dress with practiced ease and empties her emergency reserves in a few panic stricken gulps.

“Jah above let the floor open up and swallow me whole already…” she curses under her breath upon finding her flask empty. Looking up at the ceiling she prays silently for some manner of rescue.

Tasite wrote:Tas's curiosity had not abated, she was puzzled about the 'old fashioned way', even if embarrassed by her words.

Nothing ever really shocked Tas and if you knew her family you would know why. So why is it when he moved closer to her, she held her breath as if for a moment she was hoping time would stop? Tas could feel the heat rising through her body while his finger moved through her like a gently breeze on a warm spring day. But no spring day had ever sent shivers through her body like that. Get a grip girl and get your head out of the clouds. As if it couldn't get any better she felt his hand against her back pulling her gently towards him. This feeling non like she ever felt.. as if they were the only two in this room. Tas closed her eyes slowly to take in the touch from his hands as the warmth flowed through her body from the closeness they was sharing. Could he? would he?; she thought.. wondering if a kiss was coming and if so how would she handle it. Only time would tell...just then she heard him speak softly: Dear Lady, ye ne'er augh 'to apologize fer things as aint yer fault; It will get ye into trouble and it just aint right besides. Tas eyes opened as she wondered what trouble she could get into and if it would be fun. Just then he was looking into her eyes and if looks could tell everything she was in trouble. His eyes gazing into her caused her to bit the corner of her lips as she hoped her green eyes weren't giving away was she was thinking or feeling. Just as he moved speak again: Bu' ye're tryin yer best ta make som'one who's travelled long and far, feel very welcome 'ere. An' that's mighty sweet of ye!... Now fer ye hurtin... As his words trailed off it was as if time stood still for that moment to allow her to savor the sweet touch of his lips on her cheek. Then in a instantm before she could let out the breath she was holding, he stepped away.

Tas smiled, her cheeks showing a slight blush to it. One because of his kiss; two because she wanted to know what kind of trouble she could get into with him and three there was a three a minute ago but she forgot what it was after thinking about the trouble. Hearing his voice again snapped her out of the dream state she was in. Four o' the fairest lasses o' the party at 'is side and only two bottles o' Irish between 'em, bu' nea glass or cup to share. Bu' I'm sure m'ladies could 'elp meh find any then meh'd like te make a toast.... Is that all you will be needing; she said a she motions one of the servant to bring some glasses praying that her thoughts or body would not betray her as she moved towards him. Then you are indeed a easy man to please. As the servant return with glasses Tas smiled. M'lord the glasses you ask for, and if there is anything else you require just ask and it yours. There she went again, her mouth moving, words leaving and brain fully sleeping. Tas hoped no one especially her family heard that last part. So she gave him a charming smile and innocent look, hoping it would work.

Quickly he runs the whole thing through his mind again; Why the heck di' meh do that? I mean, meh was just... He rubs his fingers together, still feeling the touch of her hair running through them and he smiles to himself. Redheads, aye. Ge' meh ev'ry time, ...oh hey, donae look like she minded. Then you are indeed a easy man to please. Radh smiles politely. M'lord the glasses you ask for, and if there is anything else you require just ask and it yours. Radh is thinking of a few things but he says, Thank ye m'lady, ye are too kind. Bu' please, just Radh will do fine. Yet he thinks: Finally! We'll ge' done with this m'lord/m'lady nonsense when we ge' some booze runnin. He puts one bottle back in his bag and pulls the cork from the other, he pours a less then half a mouthfull into each glass, then passes them round to Tas, Brianna, Irish, Aayla and takes on for himself. Fer drinking we'ave a tradition in our House meh thinks be appropriate this moment. We 'onour our friends an family, be they be with us or far away, both livin and dead, by wishin 'em slay all 'eir pityless foes and drink wine from their skull, when 'ey are with the gods....SKOLL!! He says outloud with a deep voice and raises the whiskey to the air before he drinks it in one go. aaah, like ol' Scarlet o spuwin flames meh feels like doin now! Radh says, then adds, now one fer enjoyin. He pours himself another round and waits for the other to empty their glasses before he offers another.
