[RP] Tudor Estate

It had been difficult to admit closing Coventry was beneficial to the county; but Arthur and Lynna were always dedicated to the bettering of the county despite personal loss. They'd given up much of their time to achieve and better Stafford; this was just another decision that reflected their dedication. The only thing missing now was their ship. The King had requested it for his own use, and had commandeered the ship; he hadn't let Arthur and Lynna remove their personal belongings off the ship first. Arthur was nervous. All the items on board were critical in continuing life here in Derby.

Oswald, the Tudor family head butler, had received word long ago that the castle in Coventry would be closed and acquire a new estate in Derby. He was very organized, and knew that Arthur and Lynna didn't like large estates. He saw fit to acquire a quaint and moderate estate for their use when they were in town. Usually, Arthur and Lynna spent most of their time at the Tudor estate or traveling. Such was their way of life.



The estate had to have some sort of garden; that was Lynna's pride and joy of their home. She was always speaking with the groundskeeper at the Tudor estate to make sure everything was in order. The small walk to the gardens would need some work, Arthur noted as he made his way around the grounds.



Arthur had requested a construction of a special garden piece to surprise Lynna. Perfect. He would unveil it to her later when he would bring Lynna and William to the estate. He had left them sleeping at the local Inn while he went to investigate the new grounds.

She hadn't really slept that well worried about their ship and how they would settle in their new home of Derby. She was sad having to leave Coventry castle their home and a gift from her loving husband. She new the move would be good in the end and convenient for them with being close to the harbour.

She held onto Williams hand as she followed to get onto the buggy, knowing that Oswald would have everything organised for them and had handled the move for them she was looking forward to this new start. Where have you been all morning Love she smiled at him curiously as she could tell from his expression that Arthur was excited as well but trying not to let on that it was anything special.

You will just have to wait and see he said trying to stop himself from smiling.

They headed a short way out of town, the surroundings were lovely and she could see the forest where there was plenty of work to be had. She would miss going down to the orchard in Coventry but there was still a sense of serenity about a day in the woods, picnics and a place to reflect she thought as she took it all in. Ohh Look over there William she said pointing out a small deer as it ran off into the scrub. William was still a little unsure of what they were doing but he was excited about being in a new area.

As they headed down the drive of their new home Lynna was beaming, It's wonderful Love have you been through and looked at it yourself yet? She knew he had but she wanted to get some inkling of what he thought or what it was like, she couldn't wait to see for herself.

The carriage stopped on the cobblestone path in front of the stairs to the new residence where they would be living. That is why I woke early, my wife. He grinned at her. I needed to make sure the manor was ready for our arrival. He leaned forward to kiss her, then opened the door to exit the carriage. He stopped just outside, and held his hand out for his wife. William was taught proper manners and always waited for his mother to exit before exiting himself. He wasn't always successful being a three-year old, but it was a work in progress and today he seemed to remember. Once Lynna exited the carriage, you could hear William in the background: My turn, my turn! He wanted Lynna to help him down. After all this time, he was more attached to Lynna than him, but that was ok. Lynna helped little William down to the cobblestone, and off he went climbing the stairs to the front door. When he reached the top, after an exhaustive effort, he turned around to his parents: Is this our new house?

Before Arthur and Lynna could answer, the front door swung open and there was the nanny and Oswald awaiting their arrival. Come on, Master William. You must be hungry, she said and then ushered him inside. He agreed with a brilliant smile on his face and followed her inside.

That boy sure can eat, he said to Lynna laughing, then kissed her. Come. I've got something to show you! He tugged her towards the rear of the property towards the gardens.

Lynna wrote:She kissed him back as he helped her down from the carriage trying to contain her excitement and her smile before turning to help William down as he half jumped into her arms Careful my little man she said as his feet hit the ground he took off up the steps to the door as it opened with Nanny and Oswald to greet them. She gave them a hurried wave and a smile as Arthur took her hand urging her along she started to giggle, he does eat well Love where are we going she asked excitedly as he kissed her saying he had something to show her. She grabbed the side of her skirt lifting it a little as they moved hardly able to wait she asked, what is it Love? her eyes wide wondering if he would let on.
