[RP] Wedding Preparations

She looked down at her hand as she could feel the warmth of Arthurs fingers playing with hers. She looked up, her eyes connecting with his, noticing something in his eyes she felt herself blushing again, he made her so happy and she couldn't wait to be his wife.

I do have to leave again shortly and finish some of the other preparations, she paused again thinking ahead. And go back to the house to check on my family, we can discuss the ceremony a little later when you have had time to rest Gawain.
Before rising from her chair she leaned into Arthur and kissed him lightly on the lips again, I'll let you know before I leave the castle Love she smiled

Not wanting to leave Arthur alone right now he did seem a little distracted she said I won't be very long though Arthur but there are a few things I need to do that you can't be privvy to just yet she grinned as she went to leave.

Something quite unexpected has come up and I fear I shall be delayed, but I hope to be there as soon as possible! (No, Arthur... Stafford has not been attacked and I am not once more walking the walls.)

I am, as I write, getting ready to leave for my own wedding. A quiet affair, it is being held on the hills overlooking my dear city. The groom is not the one that you would suppose but that is a tale for another day.

Oh, and to quiet the rumour mill which I'm sure will be turning out gossip by the mile... I am not with child.

Peace and love to you on what must be a very hectic time, I hope you manage to find some time for yourselves among the preparations.

At home he makes sure he doesn't forget anything - but he has forgotten something! All of those balls of wool he could generously share with the towns he will be passing through are still either in the town hall or the marketplace.

Oh well, I will just have to keep our fine Brummie wool for Birmingham. Maybe I can run by the market and buy one for a gift to the newlyweds - and an extra for Maeve and her new husband. What a great idea!

He sighed again. He needed to write complete sentences not fragments. He stood up and paced the room, needing his inspiration to come flowing to his quill. He wanted to see Lynna.. she could make him focus with just a single touch or kiss. But he knew it was impossible. It was the day before the wedding and it was completely inappropriate to see the bride-to-be. Maybe a letter? He thought but shook his head. I need to complete my vows, not avoid it by doing other things.

He wasn't sure what to do. He was lost. He was not a writer; never was good at penning his feelings and thoughts.

After Oswald gave instructions to the staff he turned to Lynna, M'am if I could have a word please, Of course Oswald, she replied as they moved a little aside from her cousins. In a lowered voice he continued, Lord Arthur had been waiting in the parlour for your return, he has been quite impatient and missed you today he said with a somewhat mischievious smile, and wished me to say that he had a few things to tend to and would speak to you later. Lynna grinned and felt herself blushing again as she thanked him. I have missed Lord Arthur as well she smiled and I do hope to see him later, thank you for letting me know.

She went back to her cousins and grabbing a hand of each eitherside she said Come let me show you my new home and your room....

I am about to meet with Chaplain Gawain about the ceremony again and thought it would be a nice retiring drink. She smiled Thankyou Oswald and continued onto the parlour.

As she entered, she smiled again, seemed all she could do was smile and giggle when it had anything to do with the wedding plans or Arthur, she was so looking forward to everything. I have Oswald bringing us a nice warm mead Gawain I hope that is satisfactory dear friend.

As they took a seat she passed over the parchment she had for Gawain to peruse.

Lynna wrote:Lynna was watching Gawain for a hint of experession that he approved of her vows and was glad to hear him say they were just fine. Wonderful she smiled. Just then Oswald appeared at the door with a tray holding the mead, Please come in Oswald she said.

Oswald entered placing the tray on a nearby table, he poured them a mug each and bought the tray over setting it on a small table between the two. Thank you she smiled.

If there anything else M'lady or the Deacon requires please call for me Oswald says.

Thank you Oswald, I will probably be retiring as soon as we finish here.

Very well M'lady as he gives a curtesy nod and leaves the room.

She turns back to Gawain, picks up a mug and hands it to him, I think it's more nerves than anything, I am hoping we have covered everything. I know this being your first wedding you are probably feeling somewhat nervous yourself? she asked enquiringly. It must have been great support to have Bishop Tuvoria in the same Town to guide you along. Was he happy with all the preparations made? I suppose the URACE registry papers and all have been organised, do they get filed by yourself or do we do that after the ceremony?

Realising she was asking alot of questions she giggled again and thought silly questions of course Gawain would have everything organised, I'm sorry Gawain I am just so excited and nervous it's making me think of things that have probably all been taken care of.

She picked up the other mug and took a sip, the soothing warmth of the mead was just what she needed.

Let's change the subject, maybe and you can tell me how you are progressing with your Deacon studies to become a Priest? It's been an exciting time for many in many different ways.

Wrapping her hands around the mug she rested back on the chair relaxing so she could listen with genuine interest at what her friend would say.

"Things are progressing really well, and I hope to be able to become one soon. I'm really looking forward to it."

He then leans back in his chair and sips his mead, as he waits for her to continue.

The friends talked for a while longer while they finished their warm drinks, Lynna felt more at ease knowing everything seemed to be in order she smiled at Gawain she said, We do have a big day tomorrow so we should really call it a night she smiled. We still have plenty to do in the morning .before the ceremony

She stood and waited for Gawain, giving him a thankful hug she said Do you think you can find your way back to your room? or should I call Oswald?

She smiled to herself and thought as long as Maeve is truly happy they are happy for her. There was so much she hadn't heard of that was going on around her.

After changing into her nightgown, she sat at the mirrored table and unpinned her hair letting it's locks flow down over her shoulders and back. She flames from the candles flickering in the background as a slight breeze disseminates around the room. Her thoughts focusing on Arthur now, she has missed him terribly over the last few days with hardly a chance to catch up and be alone. A smile came easily as she replayed the scene in the tavern when he met her cousins, and Grizeldas fiance Eric had been there most of the day and not known who the other was.

Arthurs display of affection as he dragged her onto his lap kissing her passionately, she is sure he loves to see her cheeks turn red as she has not been known to flaunt her affections in front of others. Goosebumps covering her skin now, was it the thoughts she was having or the cool night air.

She brushed her long locks vigorously for a few minutes and placed the brush down on the table. She put out the candles all except the one near her bed, going by her desk again picking up the parchment with her vows on it she climbed under the covers and proped herself up against the pillows re reading what she had written ...

He meant so much to her and tomorrow she would be his wife, she snuggled down under the covers watching the light from the candle as the flame played, she tries to sleep ...

Getting Moonlight's tack and saddle, Lana went through the motions of setting her horse up. Making sure that each buckle is snapped off at the right notch and that Moonlight has not heaved her stomach full of air to loosen the saddle strap when they move off Lana puts the final bit on...the saddlebags with all the necessary things she would require for the next coming days of celebration.
Putting her left foot in the stirrup she heaves herself up onto Moonlight and begins the journey towards Coventry.

With a shrug she opens the door and calls for the boy she had seen downstairs to ask him to carry their bags outside. If they were going to make it on time, they would have to leave soon. Not hearing the boy, exasperated, she loudly closes the door behind her and makes her way down the stairs, keeping an eye out for her husband at the same time. She finds them both in the tavern below, the boy silently sweeping, Wolf standing at the bar, a mug of ale in his hand. She instructs the boy to get their bags and slips him a few coins. Walking up behind Wolf, she slips her arm around his waist. Love, it's time to leave.
